Bio:

Aero is a Border Collie Mix from Northern California Border Collie Rescue.  He had elbow dysplasia surgery at 8 months old.  We didn’t know if he would continue on to play flyball.  He has become one of our most consistent , speedy and technically beautiful racing dogs.  He runs for dad, Beau in start position most of the time.  You will spot him in the lanes with his crazy, colorful tail and goofy grin.

Dakota is an 8 year old rescue dog. She is a Jack Russell/Italian Greyhound mix. She loves Flyball and is a people pleaser.  Dakota loves attention when she does something right. She has overcome her shyness and being afraid of everything to become a reliable height dog. Dakota can run in any position in the lineup.  In her spare time, she likes to chase birds and bugs and roughhouse with her brother Roscoe.  Dakota also loves to run at the beach but does not like to swim.

Bio: 

Dice is a Border Collie from Arizona Border Collie Rescue.  He was adopted at 8 months old and quickly learned to love flyball.  He is a fast, scrapy, good natured guy.  He will run for anyone and with any dog.  He was recently diagnosed with Epilepsy, so we are navigating this new journey.  We have high hopes for him to continue this sport he loves and most of all to be happy and healthy.

Halo is North American Shepherd or Mini Aussie from Patchwork Farms.  She knows how to play flyball, but she is more of a cheerleader than a racer. We call her a pandemic puppy.  She came to us in 2019 and so her training was delayed by Covid.  She is adorable and a good girl and really a lot of fun to run, but only for really yummy cookies!

Heidi is in training for flyball and agility. She is a smooth hair border collie mix thought to be of working herding lines since she loves to circle and herd people, goats, sheep and even mini ponies. She was recently rescued from northern California at 11 to 12 months old.

We brought Jasper home when he was 8 weeks old. We threw a toy across the room; he ran after it, brought it back and dropped it at our feet. He has been playing fetch ever since. He is relentless about it. He goes to work with mom every day and loves to corner co-workers at the copier and insist that they play with him. We did not know what to do with such a high energy toy driven puppy. So when he was just over 1 ½ years old we introduced him to Flyball. He loves it and is so focused.  It has been a great outlet for all of his energy and he is a much better dog because of it. He is a very sweet boy, loves everybody he meets and loves to give kisses behind the ears.

 Bio:

My name is Klyckit and I am a APBT/Malinois mix that was found running the streets of LA in 2022. I made it into rescue after a stay in a very scary shelter and my Mom found me there and I was adopted in January of 2023.  I was listed as a 10 month old Border Collie mix, but both of those were incorrect, so my Mom said my new birthday should be April Fools Day.  I was a bit shy at first, but quickly learned with the help of my sister and brother that the world wasn’t scary and a lot of my mom’s friends carried treats around all the time! 

My mom adopted me in hopes I would be a nosework dog as my older sister was retiring and she really liked playing this game.  I started practicing pretty quickly and caught on fast.  I have trialed in both AKC and NACSW and have been pretty successful so far.  Things are starting to get tougher, but I think I am up for the challenge

I also starting training in flyball, just as something else to do when we traveled to tournaments, without any expectations.  Well, I completely surprised my mom on how fast I was and how much I love to compete!  We started cautiously and ran singles and pairs for a couple of tourneys and then I got to play on a team.  At my 2nd tournament, Mom promoted me to our fast team, and Knyxx and I switched spots.  I love being a start dog and always check out the other lane to see who I am racing against.  I am super consistent with very fast times and I love to tug at the end of my race. 

Just like Kendyll and Knyxx, I love to hike and run wild at Fiesta Island and am always on the hunt for bunnies or squirrels.  I love to say to people I know, I am usually a little calmer around people I do not know, but I can be pretty excited to see my friends!  I like to play with my brother Knyxx and going for rides in the car.  I am really good in the car although my mom says I take up a lot of space and need to learn to share!

My name is Knyxx and I am a Border Collie born in 2018. My start in life was a potential service dog, but my first owner got sick and I was retuned to my breeder after about a year.  My new Mom, Rebecca, adopted me in December 2019. Then COVID hit and I got a slow start on my dog sports training. 

I tried nosework to start since we could train at home, but I wasn’t that into it as I didn’t care much if I got rewarded with food or not.  We quickly moved on to some at home box work for flyball and then as soon as we could started agility training.  Since a tennis ball is my favorite thing in the world, flyball came pretty easy.  I am now a very reliable member of our team.  I can run in any position and anyone can run me.  I have recently had some box issues, so we are retraining my box turn and I will hopefully be back in the lanes in late 2024 or early 2025.  I also love agility and I do really well when I listen to my mom, sometimes I don’t though and try to do the course I want, but that usually doesn’t end well.  But usually I am a good boy and take home lots of ribbons.

Besides dog sports, I love to hike and run wild at Fiesta Island and am always on the hunt for bunnies or squirrels.  I am a super friendly boy and like to say hi to everyone.  But I especially love men and even if they are strangers, I want to see if they will be my dad…such a goofball!  I also like to play with my younger sister Klyckit, we play almost every day and love chasing each other around the yard.

She is a happy-go-lucky goofball and a versatile sport dog. Olive is titled in flyball, agility, weight pull, rally, scentwork, barn hunt, fastcat, and trick dog. Her favorite things are playing on the beach and snacking.

Rumble also competes in Dock Diving, AKC Scent Work, NACSW Nose Work, FastCAT, Rally Obedience, Barn Hunt, and more. He lives with his sister, Lira, and two cats (Phoebe & Fergie).

Ziggy spent his first months of puppyhood living on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma, but the tragic loss of his human dad resulted in him being driven west at around 12 weeks of age to change his new mom’s life AND his in sunny, urban San Diego.He was introduced to flyball at the end of 2021 and has not looked back since- running, jumping, fetching, tugging… he loves it all! He will wiggle his whole body out of excitement when he meets a new human friend but prefers to keep watch when all his dog friends are wrestling.When he is not playing flyball, Ziggy loves agility, going to the beach (or really, anywhere in the car), hiking, and recently, nose work.

We adopted ten-month old Zoe in March 2015 from Arizona Border Collie Rescue.  Zoe is a girl on the go and loves everyone and is curious about everything.  She is totally obsessed with the tennis ball to the point where we have to hide them – she would rather have a tennis ball than food – and food is right up there with her favorite things!  Zoe loves to be where the action is and she’s crazy about flyball and her big brother Zak.
