First Flyball Title: 2014
My name is Kiyah and I am an Australian Cattle Dog mix. My Mom,
Rebecca, adopted me from a rescue group in San Diego in June of
2014. They said I was about 1, but my vet said I was a little
older, so my birthday is now January 2013. I love people and
almost always give everyone a big hug when I meet them if my mom
lets me. I also love dogs and enjoy wrestling with a few of my
favorite friends. I am working on my obedience since my Mom
says I havenít had any training, but I am very good at fetch
with no instruction at all!
I am just starting my flyball career and it is going great, I
think I am a natural. I learned to run over the jumps and hit
the box to get the ball very quickly. I love lining up and
getting to go again and again to get the ball. I would do it
all day if I could!
I entered my first tournament in September 2014 and ran
singles. I ran fast and didnít make any errors even with a very
sore toe. In October at Dogtoberfest I ran singles, pairs and
part-time on a team. I did great and even earned my first two
titles thanks to my very fast teammates! I hope to continue to
run clean, get faster and earn more titles just like my big
sister. I am looking forward to many years of flyball and even
racing with Kendyll in the future.
Besides flyball, I love Fiesta Island where I run, swim and
chase any balls that I see. I also like to hike with my family
and friends. At home I am pretty chill; I like to hang out in
my crate as long as someone is around to keep me company.
